Eisner Week at Tommy G's

Eisner Week at Tommy G's

Eisner Week at Tommy G’s will facilitate a discussion about the importance of graphic novel literacy and the library’s role in promoting the use of comic books in the classroom. This event will also promote the library’s growing collection of graphic novels to student attendees. Dr. Katie Monnin will join librarians Maria Atilano and Jeff Bowen for the discussion. The event will take place on the library's first floor in the Chamblin Room. Snacks will be provided.

Will Eisner Week is an “annual celebration promoting graphic novels, literacy, free speech awareness, and the legacy of Will Eisner.” Eisner is an internationally recognized giant in the field of “sequential art” and the “father of the American graphic novel.”
