Celebrating Women's History Month in the VLC In-Person

Come celebrate Women's History Month in virtual reality by expereincing on of 5 VR expereinces:

  • Breaking Boundaries in Science- Oculus Go- an interactive virtual reality celebration of some of history’s most influential women scientists.
  • Across the line-HTC Vive or Oculus Go- an immersive virtual reality experience that combines 360°video and computer generated imaging (CGI) to put viewers in the shoes of a patient entering a health center for a safe and legal abortion.
  • UTurn VR- HTC Vive or Oculus Go-innovates by placing the viewers in the middle of two intertwined stories, told from a female or a male character perspective. Viewers can choose what perspective to watch at any time. 
  • BBC Make Noise- Oculus Go- Use the power of your voice to break through the barriers faced by the suffragettes during their fight to win the vote for women.
  • CMHR: Weaving a better future-Oculus Go-developed by the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR), this VR experience transports the viewer to Guatemala, where they explore the world of artisan women working for empowerment and asserting their rights.
