Join us for our inaugural Author Talk event! Dr. Michael Wiley, author and Professor of English at UNF, will read selections from his works and participate in a Q&A.
Michael Wiley is the Shamus Award-winning author of twelve novels in four series. The most recent series features Franky Dast, an exonerated convict who investigates crimes involving the unjustly accused. Michael’s short stories appear often in magazines and anthologies, including Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and Best Mystery Stories of the Year 2022. He has written two books of literary criticism and over forty critical reviews and articles. He is a former board member of the Mystery Writers of America.
Before turning to fiction, Michael was a freelance writer, a political speech writer, an assistant at a last-chance residential facility for teenagers charged with felonies, and, briefly, an itinerant fruit picker. Michael has taught literature and writing at University of North Florida for twenty-five years.
