Author Talk: Roy Christopher In-Person

Join us for our Spring 2026 Author Talk event! UNF Instructor and author Roy Christopher will present selections from his works and participate in a Q&A.

Roy Christopher is an aging BMX and skateboarding zine kid. That’s where he learned to turn events and interviews into pages with staples. He has since written about music, media, and culture for everything from books and blogs to national magazines and academic journals. His books include The Medium Picture (University of Georgia Press), Post-Self: Journeys Beyond the Human Body (Repeater Books), Dead Precedents: How Hip-Hop Defines the Future (Repeater Books), and Boogie Down Predictions: Hip-Hop, Time, and Afrofuturism (Strange Attractor Press). He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and currently teaches in the School of Communication at the University of North Florida. You can subscribe to his newsletter (https://roychristopher.substack.com) and follow him via Instagram (@roychristopher43).
