Visitor Policy

Visitors are welcome at the Thomas G. Carpenter Library and may use most resources and services free of charge. However, they must check in and present an official photo ID before entering the building. UNF faculty, students, and staff may use the library any time it is open, but visitors are not allowed between 11p.m. and 7a.m.

Renewing Materials

Many items can be renewed by logging into your library account (with some exceptions listed below) or, by bringing your items to our Information Desk with your Osprey 1Card. For any questions about your account, please contact us at (904) 620-2615.

Go directly to Renew Books Online
Log in to your library account using N# and UNF password.
Click the RENEW button next to the items you want to renew (or choose RENEW ALL).

NOTE: The following items cannot be self-renewed. Please bring the items to the library.

Equipment (laptops, chargers, calculators)
Items that have been checked out for more than 12 months

Returning Materials

If the library is open, you can return your materials to the Information Desk near the entrance. Otherwise, the 24-hour book drop is located by the front door.

Do NOT use book drops to return interlibrary loans, course reserves, fragile, or media materials.
